So a couple of weeks back while reading through the Little Red Tarot blog I stumbled across a few posts in which Beth interviewed her decks to learn a little more about them. After a quick perusal I thought that it would be fun to interview my Shadowscapes deck, and hopefully become closer in the process. And here is what she had to say about herself…
Tell me about yourself. What is your most important Characteristic?
Six of Wands.
I am all about coming out on top, fighting through all obstacles to get to where I want to be! Together you and I will achieve what we set out to achieve.
Ooh, that is very upfront and honest of you Shadowscapes. I look forward to tackling future challenges together!
What are your Strengths as a deck?
Nine of cups.
Fulfillment. Emotional and physical health. I will bring all who come in contact with me the warmth that comes from feeling fulfilled.
I could definitely do with some of that warmth and fulfillment. That’s exactly what I wanted to hear 😊.
What are your limits as a deck?
Three of Pentacles.
Teamwork. Perfect synchronicity will be required for us to work as a pair. Patience and compromise are also important when working as a team. If you cannot be patient with me, you may not learn anything. I will not just give you answers, we will have to work together to find them.
No worries Shadow, I am in it for the long hall. Definitely willing to work together, for everything is better when working together 😝. (Sorry guys, I just had to)
What are you here to teach me?
Knight of Cups.
I am here to teach you how to harness your innate Knight of Cups qualities, to learn more about yourself. How to survive and prosper while searching for your Grail. How to harness your emotions, and not get carried away by the waves, but how to ride them to happiness.
Wow, how did you know I felt a connection to the Knight of Cups. If you can do anything for me, this is exactly what I would ask for. I am an incredibly emotional person, so it would be nice to learn how to harness my emotions for the greater good.
How can I best learn how to collaborate with you?
Nine of Pentacles.
Through discipline and hard work comes beauty. If you work hard, and keep going you and I will create true beauty and refinement.
Again with the hard work! I’m feeling a pattern here!! Obviously you are not going to be a deck that gives answers freely. I am going to have to work for them! Which I guess is good for my first deck, for the best way to learn is to work hard at it.
What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
Knight of Pentacles.
Patience. Through working together you will learn how to incorporate more of the Knight of Pentacles’ energy into your life. Learn how to be more grounded and take your time before rushing into anything.
Great, for I have always felt a lack of patience. I am much more of a Knight of Cups kinda guy, absolutely compelled to follow my heart above all else. So it will be lovely to learn how to incorporate some of the Knight of Pentacles’ energy into my life.
I find it interesting to now look at the readings I have done while keeping this in mind. I have definitely felt that I have had to work for my answers, which has been good because I have learned a lot each time. I have also felt a small amount of fulfillment with each reading, so she is living up to what she said. Anyway enough from me, thank you Shadow, it was lovely to meet you. Until we speak again…
